Angie's Guide to Entertainment
in and around ST.TROPEZ |
Angie will contribute more information
regarding nightclubs in due course.
Here is some useful Restaurant information. More text and pictures will be added
later.
ST>TROPEZ

A channel 4, TV producer described St.Tropez as "one of the most salubrious
and glamorous places in the world"!
It's just brimming with a passion for life. So much to see and so much choice.
You will rub shoulders with the most beautiful people in the world and wonder at
the wealth that is floating by the quayside. It can, of course, be quite
expensive, especially if you eat and drink at somewhere like the Palm restaurant
or Josephs,
but the restaurant that Jenny and Caroline are sitting outside, provided a 3
course meal for 10 euros ( £6 ) and it was only one street back from the
front. The 1st pic is Le Cafe, a moderately priced restaurant in the Lices
Square.
ST>TROPEZ NIGHT CLUBS
The Caves Du Roy and the Papagayo are the best in town. The Caves Du Roy can be
found in the exclusive Hotel Byblos.
The VIP Room is also a good one
MARINES DE COGOLIN

Our very own marina features a whole parade of
very fine restaurants and bars, so you don't have to go very far.
Some have live entertainment and everywhere stays open till late. The
girls are standing outside L'Oliviers which is probably the best restaurant but
the San Paulo is best value offering a three course meal for 13 euros, just over
£8!
PORT COGOLIN
There are a few very nice restaurant bars at Port
Cogolin, which is only a few minutes walk away.
The Utopie bar has live music on some nights, often quite different to what you
might be used to.
Such as Brazilian bands complete with dancers!
Caroline rates the restaurant opposite as one of the best around. She had a
lovely meal for around 12 euros ( £8 ).
We sometimes come to Port Cogolin by boat, in the mornings for breakfast, after
our morning waterskiing and wakeboarding.
PORT GRIMAUD

Late night shopping, eating and drinking. Very popular with tourists.
20-25 minutes walk or 5 mins by boat. A beautiful place to walk around,
reminiscent of Venice.
There is sometimes live, open air music performed in the square.
LA FOUX

If you want to eat very cheaply, La Foux has a
Macdonalds and a Casino restaurant which is affiliated to the Geant hypermarket.
They are open till around 11 o'clock pm and the Casino restaurant can provide a 3
course meal for about £4. Afterwards you can visit the very comprehensive
fairground across the road with rides that will do Alton Towers proud.
In July a Circus came and joined the Fair for further entertainment.
JAS ROBERT

This is an unusual but very French restaurant
approx 5-10 minutes away by car. It has live music on Fridays and it stays open
until the last person leaves. You mostly sit outside at the tables in the
gardens and you can still get a meal at midnight.
Be warned, the bar area often has lecherous Frenchmen who, after a number of
beers, will grab any female for a dance.
